Involved Fathers play with their children
Play is one of the best ways dads can connect with their children.

Involved Fathers show love and affection.
Regardless of the age a child is, he is longing for his dad to show him affection. Hugs, kisses, saying "I love you" everyday gives a child assurance that he is valuable to his dad.

Involved Fathers help their children learn.
Children learn from watching you, from listening to you, and from trying new things. So Dad, whether it is around the home, in a park, or helping with school work, remember that you are a significant teacher for your child.

Involved Fathers build lasting relationships.
Being a father never ends. You are a dad for a lifetime. Your influence helps guide your child's choices and build trust between you both.

Involved Fathers connect earlier than ever.
Being a father starts from the moment you know the baby is coming. Those first few months before and after the birth can give you an incredible start in connecting with your child.

Aboriginal Fathering Program Seed Funding Applications - due June 15, 2012
FII-ON encourages the responsible involvement of fathers, grandfathers, uncles, brothers, and any other man who is influencing a child. Fathers play a vital role in the healthy development of children. Amazing things happen to kids, moms, the community, and to dads, when men give their time, attention, and focus to the children they are raising.
We invite you to check out our 3 main portals:
| I'm a Dad... | I'm an Organization... | Resources... |
We have useful tips, information, resources, and downloadable booklets for dads, for moms, for organizations, for communities, and for anyone interested in learning more about father involvement and the many benefits to the health and well-being of children, of fathers, of mothers, of families, of communities and of the world that we live in!
We invite you to search out what is happening in local communities across Ontario by checking out our Effective Practices section.
There is even a section that describes various Training Opportunities that FII-ON can provide to employees, organizations, agencies, companies, and communities. The various trainings have been carried out locally, provincially, nationally, and even internationally.
And if you are interested in some of the research materials, download the FI-Public Education package.
