Lozier Award Judges
Here are the people who will be judging the nominations for the Fernand Lozier Award. They have a diverse experience in work with fathers and fathering issues.
Michael Hicks
Michael is a long-time advocate for fathering. He was instrumental in the developement of the My Daddy Matters Because . . . tooklit and social marketing campaign. He has traveled to Japan where he has consulted with the Japanese efforts to better engage fathers.
Nikki Taylor
Nikki Taylor is a registered Early Childhood Educator, mother of 3 and proud “grandma” of a 2 year oldtoddler. She worked in thechildcare sector for over 20 years and since 2001 has been the Parent EducationManager at the Oakville Parent-Child Centre/Ontario Early Years Centre. She is also a part timeinstructor at Sheridan College.
Nikki is passionate about educating and supporting thosewho influence and touch the lives of children. Since becoming a trainedfacilitator of the Father Involvement-Building Our Children’s Character(FI-BOCC) program in 2006 she is an enthusiastic and active advocate for theFather Involvement movement.
Peter Earle
Peter has been with FII-ON since its inception. He has much experience listening to fathers across the province, training agencies who work with families and fathers, and offering fathering programs within his community of Peterborough.
Vijay Shah
Vijay is a father who has been connected with fathering programs in Toronto. He is an advocate and resource for fathers who are navigating the legal system.
