Father Involvement Initiative – Ontario Network
Call for Proposals for One Time Seed Funding
February 2012
The present call for proposals is open to any agency, individual, or program in Ontario connected with FII-ON.
Total funds available per application: 500.00
Funding is limited.
- Proposals to be submitted by March 19, 2012.
- Electronic Applications in a WORD document should be forwarded to the FII-ON Secretariat at fiion@connectionsprogram.ca
- Funding will be distributed in early April 2012.
Criteria:
Applications will be accepted for one time seed funding to support activities and events related to father involvement. Events that are funded are to be held in the applicant’s local community.
The activity/event must support the objectives of FII-ON:
- To increase awareness of and knowledge about the importance of father involvement in relation to healthy child development.
- To support the FII-ON mobilization process and the expansion of the father involvement movement at the community level.
- To encourage the creation of networks linking the development of healthy public policy together with concerted action in support of responsible father involvement.
- To create and distribute resources related to father involvement.
- The funding must be used in your local community to further programming related to father involvement.
- The event or activity must be completed by December 31, 2012.
- Upon completion of the event or activity, a report must be submitted to FII-ON Secretariat describing how the FII-ON funds were used. This report will be sent out with the call for applications. Due back on January 31, 2013.
